Paxton’s title match was a hard-fought battle that went the full three rounds, ending in a decisive 16–7 major decision. In addition to the championship, Paxton was recognized for his performance by earning the Upper Class Most Outstanding Wrestler Award, capping off an exceptional day on the mat.

In 2024, Luke became the first P-W wrestler to compete at the State Tournament since 1973, and last season he finished 4th place All-State in the 138lb weight class.
